I have been trying like crazy to get the message across to everyone about the new groups, and have been really surprised about the numbers of messages from those still using the old group. I still get the old group, and it has a few messages yet today, but only about a third of normal.
There apparently is a large number of people who occasionally pop-in and write a question, but don't read the group regularly. I have issued regular notices about switching, but these people were missing them. It is this group who is clueless about the switch. I sure hope they can find the new groups.
The new groups and their subject areas are:
Comp.databases.oracle.misc Oracle related topics. Comp.databases.oracle.tools Oracle software tools/applications. Comp.databases.oracle.marketplace Oracle-related jobs, etc. Comp.databases.oracle.server Oracle database administration/server topics.
The old group was split into the above four groups to help us all find the topics we are especially interested in more easily.

Steve Cosner
