Q: Can I execute function stored in a remote database on that database

I doubt this can be done, but this is what I need:

I am inserting a series of unix commands line into a table on a remote system. I want to execute these command lines by outputting them into a file, then

        executing this file.
rsh is not an option.

I don't know if using a function is the right thing to do.

What is my best bet???

p.s. These unix commands will not be affecting the database on either system
