ORACLE 7.2 NT/ALPHA Problems

Hi,

I have several Problems with ORACLE 7.2 Workgroup Server on Windows NT/ALPHA:

• The Software came with a CD containing online documentation. However, on this CD there is only a bookreader for Windows 3.1, and ORAINST did not give me the option to install a native ALPHA bookreader when i installed the server. Does this mean i have to place an old Windows 3.1 PC next to my desk to read the doc :-(( ??
• Compiling the embedded SQL samples that came with PRO*C 2.1 (e.g. pro21\c\samples\sample) works well (using MS Visual C++ 4.0), however when i start the program i get an application error (Instruction at ... referenced memory at ...). This also happens with a small self-written program. It seams to happen when the program makes a call to the Oracle Call Interface.

• Can i call the embedded SQL precompiler from the command line, in a way it produces the C-Files without further interaction (e.g. for use in a makefile? )

i HOPE that someone can help me with my starting problems, and that i do not have to change the DBMS :-))
