It can be done. Oracle recommends 32M of memory on the PC along with whatever other database requirements are listed in the Designer/2000 installation manual.

I once did it on a 16M PS/2 Model 77. It was painful. It took the better part of a couple of days & much help from Oracle Worldiwde Support (thanks Leah!).

The client this was done for, took it home, played with it overnight and said forget it. He went and bought a Pentium Pro 200MHz with 32M of RAM and even so the performance is not brilliant.

Get yourself a heavy duty PC with gobs of memory and disk space...
