??? ORACLE client & personal

When I received Personal ORACLE NT (7.2) and installed it, I noticed there are lots of stuff dated to June-95 in the package. Few days later, I received an extra CDROM "ORACLE Client 7.3" and found there are ODBC driver in it, and some files in same names as those in personal Oracle 7.2. I am assuming that Oracle client 7.3 is an upgrade of personal 7.2, so I install ODBC and some other files from client 7.3 also.

Then I am very confused.

Since the database starter is STRTDB72.EXE, I guess I really don't run the later version of NLSRTL32, PLUS33, RDBMS73, EXP73.EXE, IMP73.EXE, PLUS33.EXE, PLUS33W.EXE, TKPROF73.EXE, and etc.

Also, my home PC is not a client of any system, except these www, email and news servers on the internet. Is the ORACLE client package useful to me, or I could make Personal ORACLE7 run as the server (something like running a personal web server) to practice client/server programming?
