What happened to sqlplus online help ?

I am using Oracle Workgroup server 7.3.2.1 for Solaris X86 and noticed that when I start sqlplus and type HELP, it errors out :

SQL> help
HELP not accessible.
SQL> It used to work on another Solaris system (older version of Oracle though). Any ideas ? Online help for sql commands and syntax was really handy. I have to admit that making the docs available in html was a stroke of a genius but there are times when a browser is not readily available or takes a few extra steps to start.
