How to re-activate databases

[Quoted] I uninstalled MySQL 8.0.15.0. I left the database in E:\MySQL Database and removed the MySQL folder in the Program Data folder. Also removed the MySQL folders out of the Programs folder. [Quoted] I recently installed MySQL 8.0.16.0 as new. The default location of the database folder is C:\ProgramData\MySQL\MySQL Server 8.0\Data. How can I make the MySQL server see the old databases? I copied the folders of the databases out of the old database folder into the current database [Quoted] folder, but they don't show up after I restarted MySQL80. Then I changed in the my.ini file the line C:/ProgramData/MySQL/MySQL Server 8.0/Data into "E:/MySQL Database". I thought this might point the server to the [Quoted] old database location. Restarting the MySQL service did not work, as it crashed. MySQL did not want to start again. So I uninstalled it completely, and re-installed it from fresh. Hence my question: how can I now achieve that MySQL can see the old databases?
