[Quoted] [Quoted] By "portable" I meant the commonly accepted definition of "I can unzip it to somewhere on my hard drive or a USB stick and it works with no other installation and minimal setup (basically just entering the connection details), without it trying to write to the registry".

This was possible with previous versions of Workbench - I was wondering why the developers had decided that they just *had* to be able to write to the registry?

For anyone who's also wondering, https://www.heidisql.com/ looks like a reasonable alternative, which works exactly as I've described. Received on Wed Mar 22 2017 - 10:44:12 CET
