You are using an option that no longer exists in MySQL-5.6.

RFTM. RTFM! ERR TEH EFF EMM EXCLAMATION MARK The MySQL manual contains a chapter on upgrading. And for each new major release there is a chapter that summarizes incompatible or otherwise important changes to the previous release.
