Would anybody know if the vktm bg process is involved in the CPU-timekeeping of the MMON slaves?

Best regards,

Nenad

The resource manager massively throttled the maintenance jobs:

SQL> _at_dash_wait_chains2 "event2||' '||module" 1=1 "to_date('2020-06-20 06:00:00')" "to_date('2020-06-21 02:10:00')"

%This SECONDS AAS WAIT_CHAIN FIRST_SEEN LAST_SEEN

------ ---------- ---------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------- -------------------
95% 216720 3 -> resmgr:cpu quantum MMON_SLAVE 2020-06-20 23:08:52 2020-06-21 02:00:55
5% 10320 .1 -> cursor: pin S wait on X DBMS_SCHEDULER -> resmgr:cpu quantum MMON_SLAVE 2020-06-20 23:08:52 2020-06-21 02:00:55
0% 200 0 -> ON CPU 2020-06-20 23:14:53 2020-06-21 02:03:05
0% 20 0 -> control file parallel write 2020-06-20 23:43:25 2020-06-21 01:32:23
0% 10 0 -> ON CPU MMON_SLAVE 2020-06-21 02:02:55 2020-06-21 02:02:55

In fact, they didn't get any CPU time!

This happened during the DEFAULT_MAINTENANCE_PLAN window:

2020-06-20T06:00:56.153014+02:00
Setting Resource Manager plan SCHEDULER[0x3194]:DEFAULT_MAINTENANCE_PLAN via scheduler window Setting Resource Manager plan DEFAULT_MAINTENANCE_PLAN via parameter

2020-06-21T02:00:56.159875+02:00
Closing scheduler window
Closing Resource Manager plan via scheduler window Clearing Resource Manager plan via parameter

Plan directives are default for DEFAULT_MAINTENANCE_PLAN:

select group_or_subplan,cpu_p1 from DBA_RSRC_PLAN_DIRECTIVES 2 where plan='DEFAULT_MAINTENANCE_PLAN' ;

GROUP_OR_SUBPLAN CPU_P1

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------
SYS_GROUP 75
OTHER_GROUPS 20
ORA$AUTOTASK 5 The database version is 18.7:

SQL> !dbhome
/u00/oracle/orabase/product/18.7.0.0.190716_a

Why didn't resource manager allow the maintenance jobs to use CPU?

Best regards,

Nenad
