It’s worth noting that the whole point of multi-threading is parallelizing. Serializing the execution on a single CPU would defeat that purpose.

It is possible to set the CPU affinity using the "taskset" program. Also, numactl --localalloc can be used to prevent tasks from being scheduled on non-local node.
