Hello,
having scenario like this:
Current state (sid)
primary (prim)
standby1 (stb1)
standby2 (stb2)
Guaranteed restore points created on stb1 and stb2 first then prim (all by book).
After switchover to stb2
primary(stb2)
standby1(stb1)
standby2(prim)
We want rollback changes made during that phase, and go to initial state using guaranteed restore points.
Whats the best way ?
My idea:
switch back to
primary (prim)
standby1 (stb1)
standby2 (stb2)
and use flashback to GRP.
pros: straightforward
cons: You have 'corrupted' bussines data in prod before You flashback to GRP. Any other ideas like failover/reinstate ? Oracle EE 12.1.0.2
Regards.
GG
