All, Resource still has the traditional privileges except for UNLIMITED Tablespace. On 11.2 CONNECT was reduced to only create session.

MPOWEL01> _at_db/version

Per dbms_utility.db_version the Version = 12.1.0.2.0 Compatibility = 12.1.0.2.0

MPOWEL01> select privilege from dba_sys_privs where grantee = 'RESOURCE' order by 1;

PRIVILEGE

CREATE INDEXTYPE
CREATE OPERATOR
CREATE PROCEDURE
CREATE SEQUENCE
CREATE TABLE
CREATE TRIGGER
CREATE TYPE 8 rows selected.

No. They got rid of it in version 10. Since version 10, the "RESOURCE" role was granted no privileges. 11G continued this nice tradition.

Yes, I agree. Usually, it was a horrific disaster but it could be only a bad thing.
