Really sorry to hear that. I learned a lot from those conferences over the years. And my company was finally willing to pay for them (after losing a member of senior management who believed technical conferences were a waste of money).

Also, just FYI, Hotsos is permanently closed, as of mid-December of 2018. Not just the conference, the entire company.

Where you had 2 tracks at hotsos, these conferences will have more. Some are more dba or dev focused. For example, I’ve observed more DBAs at RMOUG and more Devs at Kscope

I’m sure there’s more, but that’s my recent experience past few years for the US.

Every so often over the last 10+ years I would get approval to attend the Hotsos Oracle Performance Tuning conference. It only just occurred to me that I hadn’t received any reminder emails and after checking their website I don’t see a 2019 conference listed.

So I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for a good technical-oriented conference to attend in its place this year?
