Depending on what "unstable network" is, increasing the OS TCP timeout and/or retries setting might be considered as a workaround.

Subject: resume duplication from active for standby after network issue

Hello,

is there any supported way to deal with interrupted network transfers while doing duplicate for standby from active database ? I'm fighting with large (couple of TB) duplication for standby, and having such issues due to unstable network. Usually it breaks after couple of hundreds of gigabytes during datafile transfer. Unfortunately that is the only way I can do this. Any ideas greatly appreciated .
It is all about Oracle 11.2 and 12 soon. Regards.
GG
