There are no security fixes for the database per se in this round of patching. There is a serious security flaw in the OVJM which is addressed. There are no SPU’s for the database proper released in April, and no patch for the Oracle 18 database proper. There are PSU’s and RU’s released for Oracle 11 and 12. These patches address performance problems as well as security flaws. They are cumulative and thus would contain any security fixes addressed by previous patches, and fixes for new, as well as previously addressed, performance issues,

Hi!

I have just finished patching my lab 12.2 RAC. Here is what I see in the alert.log:

Patch Description: OCW APR 2018 RELEASE UPDATE 12.2.0.1.0(180129) (27464465) Patch Apply Time: 2018-04-21T21:59:40-04:00

There doesn't seem to be a separate OJVM patch. Am I missing something? The patch application didn't cause any problems and was successful:

grid_at_rac1 tmp]$ srvctl status db -d rac12 Instance rac121 is running on node rac1 Instance rac122 is running on node rac2 [grid_at_rac1 tmp]$

This seems to be the first 12.2 patch without OJVM component:

SQL> set sqlformat ansiconsole
SQL> select action_time,bundle_series,description from dba_registry_sqlpatch order by action_time;

On the other hand, I believe that it is late and that I have missed a patch somewhere in the list. I'll check out again tomorrow. The most important patch is the GI update and that went through without any problems.
