Some tools are easier to learn than others, but in my experience the most difficult thing to grasp for DBAs are the concepts behind logical replication. Logical replication is the process that all these tools use and it is VERY different to physical replication that Data Guard uses and that we all understand. If you do not understand logical replication and the implications of it, a big mess will be created even if you know the tool really well. So make sure you understand the concepts. It is not hard, you just have to know them.
