Any recommendations for mysql education, either classroom or online? I have heard of percona, but I dont see that they have any classes scheduled.

http://www.udemy.com has some MySQL online courses, although some are mixed with other topics, like web development or PHP. Right now, most of the recorded video training are $10/ea US, with some beginner free ones thrown in as well. Might be a good place to get your feet wet.
