Hi Pete,

The dba_registry table records the version and current status of installed components in the database (VALID/INVALID). We had issues with the July 2016 PSU for 11.2.0.4 that caused the JAVAVM component to become INVALID - a miss on our part during the patch application.

If we had the registry information for our entire enterprise of 200+ databases available within OEM, we'd be able to monitor this more efficiently. It might be viewable within the OEM interface once we select a target, but I was wondering if the agents send that data to the OMS so it's available in the repository.

Thanks,
Scott

Must be my morning for saying I don’t know. :)

What sort of information are you after out of that view? I must say I haven’t looked at it to even know what’s there.

All,

We ran into some issues with patching this past weekend, and after working on a cluster with a dozen or so databases, I was wondering if the data in dba_registry is available anywhere in the OEM repository where we could see it (and monitor it) in a centralized fashion.

OEM is at version 12.1.0.5, repository is 12.1.0.2, all running on OEL (don’t think that matters).

Thanks,
Scott
