Why wouldn’t you just perform a delete node of the old hardware and an add node of the new hardware instead of trying to perform manual operations for the process?

All,  

for hardware issue in one of the node in a 3 node cluster we have to bring a new server to replace it . can we move the rac home filesystem to this new node and build the new server with the old server name .  

appreciate any help.
