I hope that Mark Bobak rules this one-time announcement on behalf of the IOUG board is sufficiently of general Oracle technology interest. If not I’ll apologize to him privately.
I didn’t take the time for the nicety of pre-asking because of the timer on this special benefit for acting quickly. (So please complain to me privately as well.)
So if you’re on the fence about Collaborate this year, maybe getting the free copy of proceedings will push you to the correct side of the fence. Oh, and by the way I’ll be speaking on the efficiency you can gain by submitting Logical Units of Work (LUWs) via a stored PL/SQL package as compared to submitting the multiple components of the LUW to the database even from a local to the dbserver “client.” Since there are parallel technical tracks, you should view that as an opportunity (not a threat).
