Been there, done that on political reasons (something to talk about during the performance review and looks nice in the CV). In comparision with OCA and OCP exams, "PostgreSQL Professional Certification" exam was just damn hilarious. For example, I had a question about how to compile a certain add-on. Apparently the haven't heard of package management yet...

Coming back to the question, EnterprideDB offers two certification tracks. Familiarity with EnterpriseDB's product is needed only for their "Advanced Server" certification. Everything PostgreSQL is based on this: http://postgresql.org/docs/ Plus some add-ons, like Slony, pgpool-II, etc.
