EM13c new install same repo database

My current EM environment is installed on a Windows server because so are our database. But I finally got the approval to move to Linux so I might as well move EM to Linux as well. I was wondering if I can install EM13c fresh on a Linux server but keep my same repository database. What is that process like? Or should I just install fresh everything?
