Perfect! Then I'd suggest requesting a backport, there's one for 12.1.0.4 so it shouldn't be too difficult to get the fix you want!

Thx Courtney. I figured I'd have issues and knew the response would be to apply the latest PSU so I did that as part of the upgrade - 12.1.0.5.160119.

Yes, this was bugged and fixed (in EM 13c). There's a backport for 12.1.0.4, but not sure that one has been requested for 12.1.0.5. I'd suggest two things, apply the latest 12.1.0.5 patches (Applying Enterprise Manager 12c Recommended Patches (Doc ID 1664074.1)) to be sure it's not there, and then file a backport request with support and provide your updated inventory (details).

Bug 19816159 : Inventory and Usage section in Summary Page Should be customized.

Folks, I recently upgraded one of our EM12c installs from 12.1.0.4 to 12.1.0.5 and afterwards I noticed that the default target type for "Inventory and Usage" is now "Oracle Exadata Database Machines". This is displayed for both the summary ("Enterprise -> Summary") and details ("Enterprise -> Summary, clicking "Details" for Inventory and Usage or "Enterprise -> Configuration -> Inventory and Usage Details").

My issue is this particular EM doesn't monitor any Exadata installs so I'd like to change the default type displayed to "Hosts". Does anyone know how to do that? I've tried picking "Hosts" from the drop-down list and selecting "<admin> -> Set Current Page as my Home Page" but that didn't work.

Any other great ideas?

Regards,

Dave
