Oracle XE 12c ?

I read a bit on the 'net, one "anonymous" user says an Oracle instructor mentioned there won't be a 12c version of OracleXE, that people should use MySQL instead

Is that true?
​Given the version numbers come and go, we would rather install a 12c version of XE than 11g and have to upgrade it again in a few months when a 12c XE version is released. If one is ever released.
