We use Q Replication (an IBM tool) to replicate data between DB2 and Oracle. This tool uses logminer to mine the contents of the logfiles (as far as I understand it).

We turned on a standby database on a physical server in our DR center this week, and now Q-Rep is complaining about trying to read the logfiles being sent to the standby database.

I'm trying to figure out a way to have logminer ignore the logfiles being shipped to the standby database - has anyone ran across this behavior with log miner, and know how to configure it to ignore logfiles being shipped to a standby db?

The error is (where METASTBY) is the name of the logfile being shipped to the standby destination.

An error occurred while attempting to start an Oracle LogMiner session. The Oracle error is "ORA-01284: file METASTBY cannot be opened ORA-00308: cannot open archived log 'METASTBY' ORA-27037: unable to obtain file status
Linux-x86_64 Error: 2: No such file or directory Additional information: 3
ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_LOGMNR", line 68 ORA-06512: at line 1
