Before 12c, you have a free (included with what you've already paid) basic license for OWB. The no-extra-cost version misses out on some fairly basic functionality such as job scheduling, along with some stuff that's probably reasonable to pay extra for. As I understand it, the sun has set on OWB and ODI is the new thing. I don't know if there's a basic, included ODI or if you have to license ODIEE.

With all that said, which version you're asking about is relevant, and I'm interested to know more from those more knowledgeable.

An analyst asked me if we have oracle data integration suite. I know we didn't purchase it but does it get installed with a regular oracle install and it needs a license? Is there a way to tell if it is there?
