Missing oraInventory after Oracle 11.2.0.3 install

I installed Oracle 11.2.0.3 on Solaris 10 server. When installer prompted for location of oraInventory I specified as /mspsdb146/u01/app/oracle. After the installation was done I couldn’t see the oraInventory directory. But installation log was placed under /mspsdb146/u01/app/oracle/logs directory. I never experienced a missing oraInventory directory like this in past.

The content of oraInst.loc:
inventory_loc=/mspsdb146/u01/app/oracle

Any idea why the oraInventory directory was not created? Did I install incorrectly?
