Well, the answer is no, if your applications are not specifically engineered to take advantage of RAC. We are talking about moving your data to the new machine, with new characteristics. It needs to be handled as a project, with functionality test, performance test and user acceptance test. Needless to say you will also need to minimize the downtime. The whole thing needs to be planned and tested very, very carefully. The phrase "launch and forget" usually refers to missiles, not databases.
