I think ODA offers quite good ratio of price/performance. Specially X5 where you get now 64TB raw space and a few TB on FLASH. Bear in mind that FLASH ASM Disk Groups can only be used by the databases (those located in ODA_BASE domain), it cannot be used for the OVM shared repository built on top of ACFS. I would suggest you use triple mirroring so you will end up having 21TB usable disk space. Triple Mirroring so when you need to swap a disk you still have double mirroring, these disks are 4TB so it takes a while to rebalance, if you use double mirroring instead of triple you are in risk of lose data while rebalancing is going on.

ACFS gives you snapshot capability so you can create DEV development quickly. I believe it's free of charge.

DR in ODA is Data Guard and only Data Guard.

Backups can to to tapes.
