Hi All,

I have a fresh install of Oracle 11gR2 m4.

I tried several times creating dbconsole, making sure that evironment variables are property set, and also in the response file, specifically ORACLE_HOSTNAME is set appropriately.

The emca -config ... comes back with success,

but in the log it shows me the URL for db control being in the form of https://<hostname>:5500/em <https://air:5500/em>

Under OracleHome, I do have a dbcontrol directory in the form of <hostname>_db

Though my start db control command fails with above message.

emctl start dbconsole

"OC4J Configuration issue. $OH/OC4J_DBConsole_IPADDR_db not found."

My question is since emca creates the control with https://<hostname>:5500/em format, and it's correctly setup in OracleHome, why "emctl" refers to IPADDR and not allow me to start dbcontrol?

Thanks,

DP
