DNFS is just a library, you use it if you configure it and mount it. I prefer kernel NFS, since dNFS is version 3 and kernel NFS is usually version 4. There are plenty of reasons for using NFSv4 protocol over NFSv3, local caching, better locking and asynchronous IO among other things. And I agree with Kevin: bugs should only be added if you need them.
