Re: Standby redo logs

Realtime apply applicable only with standby redo logs. your question might be performance variance with and without real time apply? When you deal with maximum performance primary doesn't bother at all whether acknowledged by network or data received and written on standby database as simple it acts as independent database.

database performance vary for sure in maximum protection & With maximum availability whenever standby unreachable then depending on NET_TIMEOUT parameter it works as maximum performance mode, that mean it depends on standby database. So there will be performance impact in both the cases.
