Some of you may know I've been at Delphix for almost 4 years now. When I started it was 30 people and now we are almost 200 and we are hiring faster and faster. Here are some of my thoughts on the technology http://www.oraclerealworld.com/delphix/

Delphix is aggressively hiring for services which a great position for many DBA types. Delphix services is an awesome team. Services run by one of my favorite people in the industry Marco Aurelio who was previously a VP at Oracle. The services architecture team is run my Vinay Srihari another awesome guy who is the architect behind Oracle Active Data Guard.

The CEO is one of the smartest people I've met. I find myself more and more surround by people who are smarter than me at Delphix. It's intimidating but its the best position to be in. The co-creator of DTrace is here, the co-founder of ZFS is here, the flash back Oracle database architect is here, the man who wrote more RMAN lines of code than anyone is here. The top North American sales rep two years in a row is at Delphix now. The top European Oracle sales rep is now at Delphix. The EVP of sales worked with Larry at Oracle sales back the late 80s and has since lead 3 companies to IPO.

The technology is awesome. The UI is beautiful.

The company is growning rapidly. Revenue had been going up 2.5x + per year since we started selling 4 years ago. We have been cash positive for a while. We are doubling staff year over year. Currently almost 200 people. Our customers are Fortune 500 - Walmart, HP, Facebook, Ebay, Proctor and Gamble, Cisco, Deutsch Bank, Bank of America, Wellsfargo, McDonalds etc.

We've already got 4 Oaktable members - Tim Gorman, David Ruthven, Steve Karam and myself.

It's a great career move and most interestedly a way to set up a potentially nice retirement :)
