Hello Chris,

   That point #5 says to configure more disk space for the ASM metadata, in the clusterware disk group (meaning, you don't create third disk group just for ASM metadata). That calculation is essential to the environments with more databases in the same server and clusters with higher number of nodes. There is nothing wrong in being precise with that calculation, however, I would suggest you to configure double the value. Again, It is hard to recommend you more accurately without knowing all the details, so YMMV.
