Manually removing DB target in EM12c doesn't drop system target

Hey all,

In EM12c (12.1.0.3.0), I manually removed a monitored DB following MOS 1386131.1. It did ask "...The database system will also be removed if the database is removed. Do you want to proceed?" and I said "Sure, why not".

The DB target is removed, but the associated database_system target is stuck in a "metric collection error" state. Trying to manually drop that target results in an error page with "Unexpected error occurred. Please contact Oracle Support with these files." and lists three log files.

I'm really trying to avoid an SR if possible, as I just don't have the time to manage yet another one. I suppose I can live with the permanent target in an "Unknown" state, but my OCD would prefer it cleaned...

TIA!
Rich

p.s. Not to muddy the thread, but what's the point of a "Database System" target anyway? RAC and/or ASM, perhaps? Seems pointless for a traditional DB setup.
