I would, of course, not dream of correcting the DBA Goth Princess. J  

But I would add one extra thing. Even though the UI allows it, selecting both Cloud Control and EM Express in the DBCA utility will not work, so you need to do one with DBCA then add the other later.

Yes, you can have both installed. I've been promoting the EM Express with the idea that for those DBAs that are uncomfortable with developers having access to the EM12c console, you can offer this to let them view performance data to ensure their code will be prepared for production work loads.

Thanks. I was thinking this might be handy if my em12c was in maintenance or some such. Sounds like maybe not so much.
