Really??!?!? Tivoli allows one to tip-toe through the virtual tulips of the backup history of a server. And since I have RMAN put CFs -- I just realized that's a funny and somewhat appropriate abbreviation in this context -- in their own subdirectory, selective retrieval of them by timestamp is trivial, as are the other backups in the FRA.
