What processor?
How many sockets?

Also, consider memory utilization, and IO

You need to determine if the current load seen on both machines can be handled by just one.

The work becomes more difficult to quantify if you are only moving part of a database.

Look for some primers on capacity planning, what you are asking for is not something
you will get answered easily from a mailing list.
