The docs have a decent write up on this: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/install.112/e24336/pre_install.htm

Basically you need to be sure that the ports don't conflict with any other installed apps and you have enough to use, about 20,000+ according to the docs.

I received the following errors in the installation log while installing Oracle 11gR2(11.2.0.3) and wondering it is OK to ignore these errors or I should change the parameters as recommended. What are the possible problem if I ignore these errors?
