Hopefully just having you sit at a computer and prove some basic competencies. I think doing a standardized test is a waste of time when hiring people for a complex field like DBA;however, a test to make sure you can actually find your way around a database and handle some basic issues is a good thing.

I am planing to do interview for Oracle DBA position. Interviewers are people from system engineering and database management departments. Please share you experience and give me some helpful advises. They also said that interview will be followed by a testing on PC. Is this can be like Oracle certification test ? or something else .... please, who have similar experience or have some ideas please share.
