we are in the middle of migrating from HPUX to Sparc Solaris which is cross -platform tho not an endian change. Anyway for v10+ databases using RMAN CONVERT DATABASE is a straightforwards way to go from one to the other, and should work for you.

Bug#7893016 on 11.x (AUM related) does have an undocumented workaround - ie we found you can bypass the bug by copying the datafiles when the db is shutdown, rather than just in read-only mode.
