Okay - this looks like exactly the approach I wanted to take. So at least I know I'm not out on the fringe somewhere. Let me ask this - for soft memlock and hard memlock, why set this above 80% of available memory? Does make more sense to limit these to no more than 80%?

If not, why (out of curiousity)?

Something like this: (101*1024*1024/2048)+5. The +5 is a just in case fudge factor. Here is my blog on the subject:
