Hi Ram,
As Amir has already pointed out, endian difference is not an issue for Transportable Tablespaces. We have done TTS migrations from HP-UX to Linux on x86/x86-64 with no issues. Again, according to the Wiki page - (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Endianness), Linux on x86/x86-64 is little endian versus HP-UX which is big endian.
Cheers,

Gaja

The endian difference is not compatible for Transportable Databases; it is compatible for TTS.

Gaja
For TTS, doesnt the endianness of the platforms come into account? Linux is Little endian and Solaris is big endian. I thought they would not be compatible for TTS.
