I'll try to get this back on topic.
well, not.

I personally try to avoid burleson's sites as much as I try to avoid expertsexchange. Nothing personal, but I usually search oracle docs first, then move on to MOS and when those two fail, I google... and usually what I get from burleson is just a rewrite of the doc. Which grantes, might be useful for some people, but not what I'm looking for.

Now, as to scripts, I've never used his, but I'm biased against them. I recommend enkitec's scripts. They have a very good staff as well if you are interested in consulting. I haven't worked with them (or for them) directly, but I've worked with former enkitec employees and got to know the tools a little, and they are very comfortable.

And here comes my nerd advice of the day: Write your own. Learn perl, take your task queue and for each entry ask "will I *ever* need to do this again? if so, is there a way to automate it?" and start scripting away. A word of caution, plan ahead. I started writing scripts for all sorts of things and ended up rewriting them all (or at least modifying them) to look like they are all part of the same toolset (formal unity).

It is likely that you will not be able to produce scripts worthy of being published (at least not at the start), but you will get to know the software you are managing a *lot* better and you will feel the sense of accomplishment that comes with writing your own tools. Now, that being said, if you don't have the time for it, TOAD is still your friend :P

HTH, Cheers
Alan.-
