Best option for reporting database (assuming it is read only database and needs to be same as primary) is Active DataGuard (ADG). ADG offers utmost data quality and superior replication performance that no logical replication tool can even come closer. You may also want to take a look at Oracle logical standby.

You said "The replica reporting db will be a RAC database and reside in the same cluster and same nodes as the prod database.", why create it on the same cluster as prod, why not use prod itself as reporting db also by leveraging resource manager?
