Hi Hrishy ,
I believe if your system is suffering from waits like db file parallel write,free buffer waits and any similar events you might see improvements with write back cache,  on the 10x improvement I believe it is application dependent , Also please take note that not all writes go to flash e.g backup, direct path write and few others so you might not see a improvement in these areas
