Hi,
Have a basic doubt.
Who owns ASM disk group? Oracle user or Grid user? With which user do we create datafiles in disk group? How do we check the owners of ASM diskgroup in ASMCMD?

In my RAC DB I am getting no rows for below query.Kindly help me.

SQL> select * from V$ASM_USER;
no rows selected

SQL> select NAME,GROUP_NUMBER from V$ASM_DISKGROUP;

NAME                           GROUP_NUMBER

------------------------------ ------------
ASM 1 DATA 2 IDXDG 3 REDODG 4

ASMCMD> lsgrp DATA
DG_Name Grp_Name Owner
ASMCMD> lsgrp REDODG
DG_Name Grp_Name Owner
ASMCMD> lsusr -G DATA
User_Num OS_ID OS_Name

Thanks and Regards,
Nisha Mohan.A
