parameter question

Dear lists,
We start to configure the dataguard environment, the db_recovery_file_dest has been set to /ARC1/XYTHSTG and have set the db_recovery_file_dest_size to 10g, the /ARC1/XYTHSTG has been allocated 50gb.
Now my question is the parameter log_archive_dest_1, should I configure it to /ARC1/XYTHSTG or LOCATION=USE_DB_RECOVERY_FILE_DEST? Which one is make more sense? Do they make any difference?
