Hi Kumar,

Personally I would go with ASM mirroring, it's much easier, elegant solution and most important it's online processes. You can add one or multiple disks in a single operation and then ASM rebalances the disk group so that data is evenly distributed on all disks, including the newly added disks. What's more you can add the disks from second storage days before real downtime so when the time comes it will be ready.

Once the storage maintenance is complete the procedure will be repeated, all these operations require no downtime.
